Kids Multi FAQs
What ages is this patch suitable for?
They are formulated for children ages 2+. Always use under adult supervision and consult with your pediatrician before starting any supplement.
How and where do I apply the patch?
Place on clean, dry, hair-free skin (such as the upper back, shoulder, or outer arm). Press firmly to secure. For younger children: Choose a spot they can’t easily reach or remove themselves from, like between the shoulder blades.
What's the best time of day to give my kids their patches?
Apply one multivitamin patch daily. For multivitamins, morning works well for most families—apply with the daily routine (after brushing teeth, before school) and remove at bedtime.
Can my child wear more than one patch at a time?
Children should not wear more than one of the same patch at a time. Each patch is carefully pre-measured to deliver a safe daily dose. More than one patch could provide too many vitamins. However, children may pair the multivitamin patch with the sleep patch. Always check with your pediatrician before layering patches from different formulas.
Are the doses age-appropriate and within safe limits set by pediatric guidelines?
Yes! We align with pediatric Recommended Daily Allowances (RDAs) and stay well below Tolerable Upper Intake Levels (ULs).
Are the adhesives safe for kids’ skin?
Yes, the medical-grade adhesive was chosen for sensitive skin, dermatologically tested, and safe for pediatric use.
Can kids with food allergies (dairy, soy, gluten, etc.) use these patches?
Yes. They are free from most common allergens and formulated without any sugar, dairy, soy, gluten, peanuts, or tree nuts.
Does the patch provide enough vitamin D for kids who don’t get much sunlight?
Our patch supplies a daily baseline of 9 mcg (360 IU) of vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol), which is 90% of most children’s daily needs. Some kids may need more—especially with low sun or darker skin tones—speak to your pediatrician about your child’s specific vitamin D needs.
Kids Sleep FAQs
What ages is this sleep patch appropriate for?
This patch is for children ages 4+. For ages 2–3, use only if recommended by a pediatrician. Not for infants or toddlers under 2.
For sleep patches, apply 30 minutes before bedtime as part of your child’s nightly bedtime routine.
How does melatonin help support sleep?
Melatonin is a natural hormone the brain releases in the evening to signal that it’s time for sleep. Supplemental melatonin can help children fall asleep faster and adjust to new sleep schedules.*Consult your pediatrician before starting any supplement routine.
What role does chamomile play in the patch?
Chamomile is a calming botanical traditionally used to support relaxation. Paired with melatonin, it helps ease bedtime restlessness.
Is it safe to use melatonin every night, or should it only be used occasionally?
Some children use melatonin occasionally (e.g., for travel or schedule changes), while others use it nightly under medical supervision. Talk with your pediatrician about what’s best for your child.
How do I get the patches to glow in the dark?
To activate glow-in-the-dark, expose the patch sheet to a bright light source for 5-10 minutes. Turn off all lights and block any ambient light. A dim light source or less time may not provide enough energy for a strong, long-lasting glow.
“As many parents know, when something is simple, stress-free, and even a little fun, it’s much more likely to become part of the daily routine.”
Dr. Cranston Klein
As a pediatrician, I am excited about Barriere’s new children’s multivitamin patches. They provide a gentle and effective alternative for children who struggle to swallow pills, dislike the taste of liquid vitamins, or face the added sugar and choking risk that often come with gummies.
