One sticker is usually enough to monitor UV exposure. If your child will have different areas of their body exposed to varying amounts of sunlight, you may choose to use more than one sticker.
- + Does this replace sunscreen?
No. Barrière Kids UV Sensor Stickers do not provide sun protection and should always be used alongside sunscreen. Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen and follow the manufacturer's reapplication instructions.
- + How do the Kids UV Sensor Stickers work?
Each sticker contains a UV-sensitive indicator that reacts to sunlight. As UV exposure increases and sunscreen protection may be wearing off, a hidden purple design gradually appears, signaling that it's time to reapply sunscreen.
- + How do I know when it's time to reapply sunscreen?
When the hidden purple design becomes visible, it's your reminder to reapply sunscreen. The more visible the design, the stronger the indication that UV exposure has increased and sunscreen protection may be diminishing.
- + Where should I place the sticker?
Apply the sticker to clean, dry skin in a location that receives similar sun exposure as the rest of your child's body. Common placement areas include the back of the hand, forearm, shoulder, or upper arm.
- + Where and when should I apply my patch?
Patches should be applied to clean, dry skin. Avoid placing patches on your face, head, or any areas with broken or irritated skin. Some of the best spots include wrists, upper arms, shoulder blades, collarbone, back, hips, thighs, and ankles. Our melatonin patches should be applied only when you want to sleep. Otherwise you can apply our patches at any time, day or night! For sensitive skin, rotate patch sites (arm, back, hip, shoulder, etc.) — don’t use the same spot every day.

Our patches are made in a cGMP-compliant U.K. facility that is M.H.R.A. registered and certified to ISO 9001 standards. The M.H.R.A. is the U.K. equivalent of the FDA here in the U.S.
- + Do you offer returns?
Due to the nature of our products, all items are final sale.
We accept returns for refunds or exchanges for items damaged in transit. Upon receipt of the damaged item, please email wecare@mybarriere.com and we will send a replacement if available or issue a full refund once receiving the defective product.- + Are barrière patches third-party tested?
